Physicians
The activities designated
CME are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and
Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME),
through the joint sponsorship with the American Psychoanalytic Association
(APsaA). APsaA is accredited by ACCME to provide continuing medical education
for physicians and takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific
integrity of the CME activity. APsaA designates these educational activities
for up to the listed hours per designated course in Category 1 credit. Please
see the program for CME credits awarded each course. Only those hours of
credit actually spent in the educational activity should be claimed. Disclosure
information about relevant financial relationships is on record.
Only those courses designated CE/CME credits on the course information are
eligible for category 1 credits for physicians.

Psychologists
The New Center for Psychoanalysis is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Please see the individual program for the number of CE credits awarded each course. Full attendance is required for psychologists to receive credit; partial credit is not awarded based on APA guidelines. Psychologists report directly to the MCEP using the certificates of attendance provided at the completion of the course.
Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists
The New Center for Psychoanalysis is an accredited provider for continuing education credits for LCSWs and MFCCs/MFTs (provider # PCE 674). Please see the individual program for the number of CE credits awarded each course. These courses meet the qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Only the actual number of hours spent in the educational activity may be claimed for credit.
Nurses
The New Center for Psychoanalysis is an accredited provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP1112). Only the actual number of hours spent in the educational activity should be claimed for credit.
